Week 69--Knocking on doors

Hey, it's been a pretty cool week! Elder Ostler and I have had a pretty good time here, and we're killing it!

We had a pretty cool experience this past week. We had prayed to find a place where we should knock doors, and we were led to a street. We knocked and knocked and eventually we were about to knock on a door, when a lady next door told us they're sleeping. We instead went over to her, and talked for a little bit. She invited us to sit down, and she grabbed us some cold pop. We talked to her for a few minutes and asked her if she'd like to learn more about our message. It turns out she has a Book of Mormon from a while back but missionaries didn't follow up with her on it. She accepted to have us come back and teach. We're excited for that. To give an idea of how great that was, tracting for me has usually been a 1% of doors knocked on my mission was someone wanting to talk to us. Only when we've prayed, have we found someone to talk to! Really shows us again and again who's work this really is.

We also had an investigator show up to church for the first time, and he loved it! It was awesome seeing the members of the ward being supportive of him even though he's different. We had a member take him to church since he lives pretty far and doesn't have a ride. It's great to see how that strengthens the faith of the member too!

Also, I thought I would let you know that the cinnamon roll I'm eating is super tasty ;)

I would like to promise everyone who is reading this e-mail, that the only time you will feel the most peace is when you you do not focus on yourself, but you focus on those around you who may need uplifting, encouragement or otherwise need your love. In Doctrine and Covenants 84 it says: And if any man among you be strong in the spirit, let him take with him him that that is weak, that he may be edified in all meekness, that he may become strong also.
I know that if you will spend time strengthening those around you, you are exercising Charity, the pure love of Christ, which love we so desire to have to the end, which when the Savior sees this, it will be a testimony that we are truly his disciples.
