Week 60--Service, service and more service!

This week we got to see one of our investigators. We helped him move everything out of his home because there was tons of mildew. We moved all his music equipment, tables, etc. Then, we packed his girlfriend's truck with the stuff we were putting in storage for him. We took about a half hour drive to her barn, where we stored all of the things he didn't want, then we went out and ate at a little nearby restaurant and they got us chicken fried steak with gravy and mashed potatoes, yumm!'
We went tracting a little bit in the rain, to pass out cards for Mormon.org to spread around the new Easter video, and it was raining. We got one card out only but we did have an interesting encounter with someone. We were walking back to the truck, which was parked next to someone's home. The owner confronted us and said we weren't allowed to park there, and that we would have to pay a $10 fine or leave, then when we were leaving, we heard him saying something like, "those Jehovah's witnesses are ridiculous." As the Ting Tings would say, "That's not my name."
We had our district meeting this week and the main message was how important it was to always have the Saviour's name on our lips. To teach of him is the best way to teach with power ultimately, because I believe his very name is power.
We did a lot of service this weekend, despite how much service was cancelled. We had almost 10 hours a day planned, but we ended up only doing about 10 hours total. We helped do some extreme landscaping for 5 or 6 hours, then we helped someone organize their garage. The next day we helped someone move their things into their new home. The best way to forget yourself is to go to work. Everyone leaves happy.
I hope everyone who reads this knows that I have an unshakable testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ, because I've seen his miracles and power in the lives of those around me and my own as I have served in his name to bless others.

Think about this scripture:   Doctrine and Covenants 35:8

For I am God, and mine arm is not shortened; and I will show miracles, signs, and wonders, unto all those who believe on my name.

I believe strongly this is possible for you, if you are "obedient unto the truth."

Have a wonderful week!

Looks just like home

...maybe just a little bit more redneck than home.

You got this!
