Week 54--All is well!

Dear family and friends,

Things are going well. One of our progressing investigators from a part-member family is doing well. He has a date set now, and he's working towards it. His big focus before baptism is the Book of Mormon which is good because that's what brings a strong conversion is a serious study of the Book of Mormon. I heard in a talk yesterday, the reason the Book of Mormon is the cornerstone of our religion is because of it's testimony of Christ, the Chief Cornerstone. It's really good to see how the spirit has been working on him.

Another investigator should be baptized here in a couple weeks. It'll be great to see. It's been so many years that he's been taught the gospel, but he's taking the necessary steps which is great.

One of the other people we're teaching said she's been reading the Book of Mormon every day and she should have more work off, so we'll be able to teach her more often, and she should be able to progress further like the others this month if she keeps that up, and get a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon.

One of our investigators has had a Word of Wisdom problem since his young years. We've committed him to live the Word of Wisdom several times, but that wasn't the commitment he must have needed. This time I invited him, and I know it was the spirit, to instead seek to have 5 experiences a week when he uses the atonement instead of cigarettes. He committed to it, and had a couple really good experiences. I know that if he continues that, the desire to smoke will cease.

A recent convert received the Aaronic Priesthood last week, and yesterday he passed the sacrament for the first time and did super well.

We had 8 visitors come to church on Sunday and a few returning members. That was great to see.

Hope you all have a great week, I know I did. :)  D&C 29: 6-7 - Faithful, united prayer guided by our Heavenly Father's will brings miracles, especially in Missionary work, so keep it up!

The Elders went on a hike to enjoy the lovely early spring in Arkansas.

Trees are already flowering!
