Week 26--Off to Tulsa

We went on Monday to St. Robert, a nearby city to visit and hangout with the other missionaries and that was fun. Played a lot of basketball and I've been improving my ball skills, so that's great. Two of the missionaries there went home a week early for school so there were some goodbyes and stuff.

On Thursday we had a really good evening. We had a dinner with a member family, the Father being our ward mission leader. Two of the people we're teaching were also there, and we had a very good lesson afterwards on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was powerful and we talked a lot about repentance.

As a district, we talked about obedience, and how uncompromising obedience to the commandments and rules, we are blessed. That's a really important thing on the mission, especially to be worthy to have the spirit with you while teaching.

We set a baptism date for one of our investigators so that's two with a date and they're both really solid so I know they'll both make it to their dates in early September.

We had our transfer calls on Tuesday, and I'll be leaving to the Tulsa Zone. I'll be in Brookhollow ward. Elder Dick will be replacing me in Lebanon which is insane. Elder Hewlett my former companion will be companions to the only Canadians in the mission twice in a row.

Here's a picture of a huge praying mantis we saw one day when we returned to the apartment.

Loves,
Elder Rodgers
