Week 27--Life's good in Tulsa

Dear Family and Friends,

On Thursday I got to Tulsa and it's really hot and humid, but I think things are starting to cool down. I met my new companion, Elder Butler, and immediately got along. He's a good missionary. The ward is really nice, and I've already come to love many of the members here.

That day we got a few referrals, and we tried to contact one of them, but someone else answered the door. Turns out we had one of the numbers in the address wrong. He said we could come back with a Book of Mormon, though.

On Friday we did some biking in the Tulsa heat, that was something else. We went and met up with a man who the missionaries have been teaching for a very long time. We re-committed him to keep commitments so he can gain a testimony.

There are a lot of Hmong members here in the ward, and they're great people. They also make great food. I've met quite a few of them, and also a few recent converts. They're all pretty sweet.

Overall, I'm slowly but surely adjusting to my new area, and I am definitely enjoying it.

Loves, Elder Rodgers
