Week 77--Working and teaching

Hello, family and friends!

So our truck has been in the shop, which means we've been walking and biking a lot more than usual. It's not like it's exhausting, but my feet are not quite used to that, so they've been a little more sore than usual. It's interesting when our appointments are a 45 minute walk, and it's too dangerous to bike on some roads.

Something cool that happened this week, We went to find a former investigator, so we knocked on the door, and a lady answered. She said the person we were looking for did not live there. She then said that she would let us in, but her kids had stomach flu and they were eating dinner. We asked if we could come back Tuesday. We got back Tuesday and they were heading to the creek, and we asked when a better time would be that the family would be together, and she went and asked her husband. I was thinking, "Oh no, she's going to ask her husband, he's going to turn us down!" and then she came back and said, does Sunday after church work? so we set that up. Then, we came back Sunday and the husband answered the door, and he was a really good guy, and he said Thursday would work a whole lot better. So, it's hard meeting with them, but I won't give up!

We were able to teach the Restoration to Carol this week. She asked us straight up, I really want to know where your church comes from and what you believe in. Well, we can do that Carol! We also gave her a Book of Mormon to read and she was very grateful for that!

Our friend who accepted the Book of Mormon, and his cousin/room-mate read from the Book of Mormon together which was sweet, they both really liked it!

All in all the week felt like a success even though we didn't hit all the goals we set out to accomplish. The fact that we were working hard towards doing our part, I felt like we did good work.
